Andover Boy Dies at Camp Greene

CAMP GREENE, CHARLOTTE, N.C. - SPECIALTO THE TIMES - David Alton Richards, of Andover, ME, died here Tuesday [January 22, 1918]. He was a member of Battery B, First Maine Heavy Artillery. The body will be sent to his home.
Word was received Wednesday of the death of Alton Richards, who was stationed a Camp Green, North Carolina. He had been ill in a hospital for several days with measles. He leaves a father, David Richards; a sister, Mrs. Hervey Hall, and a brother, Harold Richards, all of this town. The remains will be brought to Andover as soon as possible. Mr. Richards and family have the sympathy of the whole community.
