     William Ingals Abbott was born on 13 May 1820 at Andover, Oxford, ME.3,1 He married Jerusha Merrill Brooks on 25 November 1847.4,5 William died on 30 June 1881 at Upton, Oxford, ME, at age 61.3
     William succeeded his father in the Mill about 1847, built large additions to it to meet the increased demand for lumber and the manufacture of potato starch. He also remodeled the house, which he named the Umbagog House for the accommodation of lumbermen, sportsmen and summer travel which in his day were of much consequence.

In 1869 he sold the mills and his home becamea home for ministers of all denominations for many years althoughhe was not a member of any church. He also took an active part in Town affairs and served a term in the legislature.3

     Charles was born at Letter B, Oxford, ME, on 17 April 1833.1,2 He married Sarah Jane Brooks on 2 July 1854.3,4 Charles died on 17 December 1874 at Upton, Oxford, ME, at age 41.1
     He enlisted in the Union Army on 14 December 1861 at Upton, Oxford, ME. He enlisted from Upton on December 14, 1861, as a Corporal in Company H, 14th Maine, USA Infantry. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1862, and to 1st Sergeant in February, 1863. He re-enlisted on January 1, 1864.2 He was mlt discharge on 17 August 1865; Charles was discharged on August 17, 1865.2

He died while serving in the Union Army, Company C 30th ME in Civil War..3,4,1,2 His body was removed after 28 January 1865 to Grafton, Oxford, ME.4
     He was honorablydischarged from the Army on on 15 July 1863. He served in Co. B 23 Maine Volunteer Infantry.5

     George was born at NH on 25 February 1828.1,2 He married Elizabeth [Richards] on 6 September 1858.1 Census of 1900 indicates George and Elizabeth were divorced before 1900.2 George died of pneumonia on 26 April 1905 at Livermore, Androscoggin, ME, at age 77.2
     He resided at Hartford, Oxford, ME, in 1861.1

     James was born at Letter B, Oxford, ME, on 25 July 1843.1 He married Jessie M. Dirwauger, daughter of Joseph A. Dirwauger and Jane [Dirwauger], on 3 October 1883 at Portsmouth, Rockingham, NH. It was Jessie's second marriage.2 James S. Richards died on 1 January 1909 at age 65.2
     He was a railroad conductor on 3 October 1883 at Portland, Cumberland, ME.2
