Deacon William Parson, was our early settler, supposed to be one whofelled trees in Rustfield, with the view of making them homes. Allaccounts agre that he was a useful man and an exemplary Christian. Hemarried Abigail, daughter of Captain John Millett, of Gloucester,Massachusetts, and sister of the three Millett brothers who settled earlyin Norway.¹
