Daniel died intestate. His estate was divided amongst Daniel, John, Joseph and James Cheney; John Richards, who married Sarah, a daughter, they having already received a house, land and orchards of the administrator, which they had sold, they were laid out three acres in one plot, six acres of "dividend" land and also a ninth share of all the division; to John Emerson, who married Judith; to Richard Jackman, as attorney for Thomas Wiswell, who married Hannah; and for Elinor, formerly Satchel (Shatewell), widow and now Safford.
