     Stan Kelly was born in 1889 at Farmington, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ He married Lilla Sperry at Watford, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 1 February 1920.¹ Stan Kelly died in 1928.¹

     Robert Hirtle was born in 1908 at Baker Settlement, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ He married Lilla Sperry at Watford, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 9 November 1929.¹

     She married Roderick Feener.

     He married Irene Hirtle.

     Family tradition has it that 20 year old Peter was sailing to Philadelphia to avoid conscription when his ship foundered off Nova Scotia and he ended up in Halifax. There he met Henry Kock, who brought him to Lunenburg County. Peter is said to have been a wheelwright.

Another story has it that Peter was a soldier who had fought with Horatio Nelson. He was paid off in gold in Halifax and bought land at the northern end of Mackay's Lake (now Wentzell's Lake). This tradition is also told in the Wagner family. A Levante family story has it that the ship carrying Nelson's soldiers was shipwrecked near Blue Rocks. ¹¹


Peter was born on 13 November 1784.¹ He married Sarah Elleth at Lunenburg, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 15 July 1806. "Peter Mackey's marriage to Sarah Elleth is recorded in the Dutch Reformed Church of Lunenburg.".¹ He bought property at Lunenburg, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1808. "(He) & others bought 300 acre lot, No 8 in Second Letter F. This was sold 1811 to Henry Koch Jr.".¹ He bought property at Lunenburg, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1810. Northfield, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹

     His body was interred at Roxbury, Oxford, ME. Hosea was divorced at the time of his death. He is recorded in Bridgton as having been buried in Prairie View Cemetary, Roxbury ME, although a cemetary by that name is not known in Roxbury..¹ His common name was Hosey. Hosea was born at Baker's Settlement, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 4 May 1868.^2,3 He married Blanche McInnis at Errol, Coos, NH, on 17 June 1894.^3,4 Hosea died in December 1949 at Bridgeton, Oxford, ME, at age 81.^5,1

     Blanche was born at Roxbury, Oxford, ME, on 26 June 1873.^1,2 She married Hosea George Baker at Errol, Coos, NH, on 17 June 1894.^1,2 Blanche died on 30 October 1900 at age 27.¹

     George was born at Roxbury, Oxford, ME, on 25 May 1895.^1,2 He married Bertha L. Holden at Bridgeton, Oxford, ME, on 17 June 1926.² George Alton Baker died on 8 April 1966 at Bridgeton, Oxford, ME, at age 70.²

     John was born at Baker's Settlement, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 14 April 1853.^1,2 He married Eliza Beatrice Spidell at Kings, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 29 November 1876.^1,2,3 John died on 23 December 1901 at Bars Corner, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, at age 48.^2,3

     Eliza Beatrice Spidell was born in 1857 at Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ She married John Solomon Baker at Kings, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 29 November 1876.^2,3,1

     Mary was born after 1863.¹

     "I believe this to be the Sarah Mackey who married Nathaniel Conrad, 14 Jun.1869, although Nathaniel's youngest daughter claimed her mothers first husband was a Baker & that he was drowned. Quite possibly Ernest was a Baker and illegitamate (sic). The daughter was 25+ years younger than the Mackey children so the older children were gone at the time of her growing up." Sarah was born on 5 December 1848.¹ She married Peter Mackey on 6 March 1865.¹ She married Nathaniel Conrad at Liverpool, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 14 June 1869.^1,2
