Lunenburg, October 10- Following a lingering illness, there passed away at Topsfield, Massachusetts, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Gould, Elmira, widow of Angus W. Baker of Maplewood, Nova Scotia inthe 69th year of her age. Mrs. Baker who was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kaulback of Foster's Settlement and had spent her entire married life at Maplewood. Little more than a year ago her husband passed away and shortly after she went to the United States to reside with her daughters. A week ago she succumbed to an incurable malady from which for months she had been a great sufferer. Surviving are her six daughters, namely, Lena (Mrs. John Pearson), Amesbury, Massachusetts; Flora (Mrs. Arthur Gould), Topsfield; Ella (Mrs. Percy Whitney), Oxford, Maine; Millie (Mrs. Stanley Wentzell), Bethel, Maine; Winnie (Mrs. Lloyd Watson), Munroe, Maine; Roxie (Mrs. Walter Inman), West Paris, Maine; and an only son, Gilbert O. Baker, of the Canadian National Railways, Lunenburg. There also survive five sisters, Victoria (Mrs. Havelock Jacques), Seattle; Mrs. Alice Weldon, Lawrence, Massachusetts; Mrs. Naomi Weldon, Lynn, Massachusetts; Ellie (Mrs. William Banks), Maplewood; Eilzabeth (Mrs. Judson Wentzell), Pejepscot, Maine; and four brothers, Zach and Obediah of Maplewood; Wellington of Weld, Maine; and Samuel of Stoddard, Nova Scotia. The funeral service at Topsfield was conducted by Rev. E.A. MacPhee, a former pastor of deceased at Maplewood and Parkdale Church. The body, accompanied by two daughters, arrived in Lunenburg Friday morning and was taken to the Maplewood home and from thence on Saturday afternoon to the Baptist Church in the activities of which for many years she had given unstintingly of time and talent and where the service waas conducted by Rev. W.R. McWalker, the pastor. The numerous floral tributes paid tribute to the worth of the late Mrs. Baker. Interment was in the Mapalewood Cemetery. (written on obit - 1932.)1
